The sluthing capabilities of Eels never fails - 2017-03-08

By now, everyone has seen the latest picture JKS posted to Instagram & Wiebo of a car’s combined speedometer & tachometer. Of course, that set off a flurry of activity as eels began searching to find out what make and model the car might be.

After some investigating, Eels discovered it’s the dashboard of a Fiat 500. Now, some wonder if he shipped his older Fiat from Japan to Korea, but that car is a couple years old. See the difference in the speedometer? They’re very similar but there is a slight design difference between the two.

No, the picture he posted is of a new model. The Japanese eel who discovered that the car is a Fiat 500 speculated that it’s a Fiat 500S, but that model, too, has a different speedometer, according to Fiat’s website. See.

Here is another hint. A few days ago, he posted a picture of “Spring”. In that picture is a Fiat 500. See where this is going?

His picture of "Spring" and the one of the speedometer were taken on the same day at almost the same time. So it seems JKS took a picture of his new car along with the "spring".

Now, if you look closely at his picture, you can see the dual exhaust. The dual exhaust indicates the model is turbocharged. The Fiat 500 Abarth is the only turbocharged vehicle in the Fiat 500 lineup. Yeah, he loves turbocharged cars. His Porsche is turbocharged too. Why? Because they’re faster. They can go from zero to 60 much faster…and our boy does loves driving fast as he’s often said.

The Abarth has a 1.4 liter, 16 value, 160 horsepower engine, rack & pinion steering, 4-wheel break system, and comes with either a 5 speed manual transmission or a 6 speed automatic. It averages 30 mpg combined city and highway and comes in either hatchback or cabriolet (convertible) versions.

Plus, the Abarth comes with a ton of goodies on the interior that’s sure to please JKS. But the ones he’ll enjoy the most, besides the driver’s seat having 6-way movability, are all the entertainment features that come standard on the model:

- Radio w/Seek-Scan, Clock, Aux Audio Input Jack, Steering Wheel Controls, Voice Activation, Radio Data System and External Memory Control
- 6 Speakers
- Wireless Streaming
- Bluetooth Wireless Phone Connectivity
- 1 LCD Monitor In The Front

Oh, one more thing, Korea doesn't have any Fiat dealerships...so he had to ship it in from Japan.
