[photo} Jang Keun Suk's Newest Film Has it's First Poster - 2018-01-31

The first publicity poster for Kim Ki Duk's latest film, Human, Space, Time and Human[ity], starring Jang Keun Suk has been published.

Although we still know little about the plot, i.e. the storyline, of the film, it is sure to gain massive attention, not only because of its theme which explores the nature of humans and humanity and how humans may or will behave during the harshest of circumstances, but also because of its star-studded cast of renowned actors.

[Note: I'm betting that this film will show the true and unmistakably great acting that Jang Keun Suk possesses. Heretofore, he's not been challenged in the way Kim Ki Duk has likely challenged him...but for that reason alone, JKS could and undoubtedly did bring all of his inherent acting skills and abilities to the film. Moreover, I'm guessing that this film alone will thrust Jang Keun Suk into international attention as an actor worthy of attention. We already know that his some of his scenes  in Jackpot The Royal Gambler garnered reviews comparing him to Leonardo Di Caprio's Oscar winning scenes in The Revenant. Nevertheless, the acting skill of Jang Keun Suk in this film may very well cement his reputation as a serious actor worthy of note...alongside the likes of Choi Min Sik, Lee Byung Hun, and Ahn Seung Ki. ]

Among the many media stories about JKS's Torch Relay Run, Soompi (which historically ignores his activites) published this online article highlighting Keun Suk shi's #Olympic Relay Run and his activities in promoting the #PyongChang2018 #Olympics and #Paralympics. Granted the translations that Soompi used have some grammatical/punctuation errors, but still the article is accurate.

Jang Geun Suk was the latest celebrity to run with the Olympic torch as a promotional ambassador for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

On January 29, the torch relay continued in Chuncheon, the capital city of Gangwon Province. The event started in the early hours of the day and Jang Geun Suk was the last runner of the day.
According to the official Twitter account for the PyeongChang Olympics, the livestream of the torch relay cut off when it was Jang Geun Suk’s turn due to many fans who tuned in to watch the star. The account uploaded a video of Jang Geun Suk participating in the torch relay surrounded by fans, residents, and security guards.
Jang Geun Suk also posted a selfie of himself dressed in the torchbearer uniform and thanked his fans for joining him. He wrote, “Out of all of the days, it was such a cold day. I will not forget those the Jang Uhs [fans] who came and waited for a long time to cheer for me. Thank you. But this hat…it’s not easy [to pull off]…Let’s go!!!!”


Jang Geun Suk has been actively promoting the Games as the officially appointed promotional ambassador of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, PyeongChang Paralympics, and Gangwon Province. The 2018 PyeongChang Olympics will begin on February 9 and end on February 25.

[News] Jang Keun Suk Headlines Media Stories on Torch Relay - 2018-01-31

When it comes to the Korean and Asian print media, the number of number of stories are almost endless. Almost far too many on Naver and elsewhere to count. But in each of them, JKS figures prominently. He's the star. He's the lead. He's the one who made stories happen...and it is his picture everyone saw in the dozens of media stories. 

Regardless of all the prominent celebrities who signed on to promote the #PyeongChang2018 Winter #Olympics, it is #JangKeunSuk who really has become the face of the Games. It is he who has drawn the massive media attention to Korea's hosting of the Winter #Olympics...just as it was his appearance during the Torch Relay that shut the #PyeongChang2018 servers down when the sudden influx of viewers from around the world were too many for the number of existing servers to handle.

One of the highlights of watching JKS carry the #Olympic Torch was seeing it all from above. Two balloons were inflated at dawn to float overhead and record the entire event. But it's JKS who captured everyone's attention.

Following the day's events, JKS had supper with the other runners, Japanese Figure Skating star, Ando Miki, Ryan Bang (a famous Korean actor comedian based in Philippines) and the popular J-POP group, Boys and Men, along with the Governor of Gangwon Province and Choi Dong (Choi Dong-Hoon, the famous screenwriter and director?).

Obligatory photos were taken.... Looks like they're all having lots of fun, playing to the cameras.

[photos] Jang Keun Suk's Cri-J took Five Busloads of Eels to Cheer JKS's Torch Run - 2018-01-31

As we know Cri-J put together a group event for Eels to go watch JKS complete his Torch Run in #Chuncheon. Five buses were rented to transport all the Eels to the event...and Cri-J provided meals, signs, hot packs, and other amenities for Eels who cheered loudly as JKS trotted by. If you listen to the previously posted videos, you can hear Eels screaming his name as he passes by.

It's no wonder Cri-J continues to be the most admired celebrity fan club in Korea....


And, yes, The Eels Family was there too!

[Photos] Jang Keun Suk's Doota Duty Free FM - 2018-01-29

Twitter was alive with thoughts, comments, and photos on the Doota Duty Free Fan Meeting. Yes, Eels had a great time. He told them that he had chosen to do the new drama before the end of last year was was asked by his staff to say nothing until now; he cut his hair short not for the drama but because he wanted to change his image, even against the objections of his managers; he's been on diet for three weeks (since before the Osaka Arena concerts), cutting out all carbs which has caused him to be tired and grumpy so he's going to eat a lot including meat in Tokyo; he can't quit smoking so he onl smokes his e-cigarettes while filming so he doesn't offend by smelling of cigarette smoke; and he took his first taste of alcohol as a junior high student, drinking three beers [I bet they were with Dad!].
