[news] Jang Keun Suk's "Switch" Rehearsals in the News - 2018-03-01

The first print media reports are out with news of the full cast script reading of Switch. Although JKS, Han Ye-ri and other major characters in the drama met last month on the 7th to review the script, this was the first time the entire cast has assembled for a complete run through.  Note that the first five actors in the below photo, aside from JKS, are all highly experienced actors with lengthy CVs to their credit.

According to the reports,

"Above all, Jang Geun-suk has enthusiastically portrayed Baek Jong-su, a typical examiner who adheres only to law and principle, as a genius scammer who has an excellent brain to prepare a judicial notice to be a prosecutor. Jang Geun-suk, who expressed a lot of anxiety about the character, raised the temperature of the scene with the emotions as a totally different character despite the fact that he was a one-person in 2 roles with the opposite characters of "pole and pole." [Note: meaning character role and role.]

In addition, the other actors were highly praised for their roles in what may well be a very suspenseful and satirical as well as well crafted drama, pitting the law (and legal forces) against both political and wealthy criminal forces.

Anyone who has watched The Suspicious Housekeeper knows that screen writer, Baek Woon-Chul, is no newcomer to suspenseful dramas with lots of twists and turns.

Still as the Production team said about the script read through of Switch, "We felt once again that the actors' enthusiasm for 'switch' was really great," said the production team. "We felt once again that the passion of the actors towards' Switch 'was really great." In the first half of 2018, we would like to expect much from the 'switch', which will convey a cool message."

That JKS has chosen to join with the highly experienced and dedicated crew of actors in this drama speaks greatly to his commitment in becoming a prominent actor and star in the Korean acting heavens...and perhaps well beyond. After all, he did say years ago that he dreamed of winning an "Oscar."
